"Life's too short to eat store-bought pie."

About Donna

I am a home baker and I sell my creations to family and friends to help pay for summer camps and mission trips for my two awesome kids (and maybe some special extras that our family enjoys from time to time).

One of my mottos in life is, "Life's too short to eat store-bought pie." I love my desserts to be homemade and believe they taste best that way.  I promise to always use quality fresh ingredients and to put a lot of love in my creations.

I also pray for and over every person I am baking for as I cook.  I believe that families and friends come together over meals and desserts.  I pray as specifically as I can for each gathering of friends or family for which I am baking.

I also believe that even though you did pay for your pie, it shouldn't look like it.  What I mean is I believe that, if at all possible, pie should not be served from a disposable pie plate.  I just think the visual appeal of food can be very important to the perception of it; to me a pie is much more visually appealing in a glass or ceramic pie plate than in an aluminum one.  Therefore, I will always give you the option that I will bake your pie in your pie plate.  That way, when you take your pie with you to your next family gathering, it will look homemade since it is... well... homemade.  You can even take the credit for it if you want and that won't bother me a bit.

Most of my offerings are pies. I will, on occasion, consider doing custom cakes and sugar cookies depending on my personal schedule and availability.
I do most of my business around holidays but will consider other occasions upon request.  For holiday orders, I will generally only open up a certain number of order slots for any particular holiday.

Please see my ordering guidelines and policies page for details.

I am operating this business under the Texas Cottage Food Law that was signed into law on June 17, 2011 and went into effect September 1, 2011.  Even though the labeling practices are not completely finalized as of yet, I will be doing my best to comply with these guidelines.  Please visit this site if you have any questions about this law.
